PIPEDA POLICY

Personal Information Protection & Electronic Documents Act
All references to 'Organization' refers to both of the above business names and the book title.

On January 1st, 2004, the Personal Information Protection & Electronic Documents Act came into force for all commercial organizations. The purpose of the Act is to protect you, the consumer and private citizen, from unscrupulous operators and telemarketers. The Organization embraces this legislation, and has always upheld the tenets of the Act in the normal course of our business. Thus there are no changes to the way the Organization conducts business, except that now the Organization needs to describe the Organization's policies and receive the formal consents of the Organization's members. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

The Organization's documentation and computer systems maintain names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, NewsLetter mailing preferences, other contact details, digital photos, analysis data, service data, and payment details, for the following requirements:

§ To identify the Organization's members;
§ To ensure the safety of the Organization's members;
§ To record an ongoing history of profiles;
§ To enter and archive payment data for book-keeping and government audit purposes;
§ To email the Organization's members the Organization's NewsLetter, given the Organization's Client's agreement to this.

Member's information, including their email address, is never, ever in any way, disclosed to anyone, and the Organization's staff have access on a 'need to know' basis only. All data is securely locked 24/7, and electronic systems and data are password controlled. The web site does not use personal data except, perhaps, the Organization's client's names and email addresses for personalization.

Should the Organization's members wish to review their own file, the Organization will be glad to assist them.

Should you have any questions about this policy, don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you for taking the time to review this policy.
